How to Prepare Your Pet for Boarding

Preparation is not about convincing your pet that nothing is changing. It is about keeping the parts that matter—food, cues, sleep and communication—as familiar as possible.

Visit before the stay

A tour, short daytime stay or familiarisation visit can make the building and people less new on arrival.

Keep routines ordinary

Avoid a dramatic goodbye or a new diet. Share the routine accurately and let the boarding team reproduce what is practical.

Plan for health

Confirm vaccination requirements, medication handling, emergency contacts and your veterinarian's details well before check-in.

Keep the care personal.

General guidance is a starting point. A qualified veterinarian should assess medical concerns and anything unusual or persistent.
